Hey guys! Long time no see! I have been trudging along through college to my junior year so far, so everything is going great.
This upcoming weekend is Capital city comic con, and I am hoping to see some of you there! I will be going as one of the female furies : Stompa from Superman/Batman :Apocalypse. If you are wondering what version this is of Stompa, it is the one without the helmet. This version is a more feminine (in my opinion) version, and honestly, I don't like helmets that much. Though I will be missing out on the cool shades the version from the comic books and t.v show had.
I kinda had to scramble around at the last minute with this cosplay, because my father and I were originally supposed to cosplay as soldiers from War of the Worlds :Goliath, but that fell through, and I WANTED/NEEDED to cosplay something, and had just had a brilliant idea to cosplay this wonderfully bad super villainess <3. I was surprised to not see any Stompa cosplays when I google searched some references, and had only been seeing the other female furies. This saddened me a little, because out of all the furies, Stompa was the strongest and also Granny Goodness' favorite. Too bad she died in the movie!
I am not completely sure what else to write in this journal except that I have been away for a while. I really missed doing art and putting it online.. Which is funny cause I make art all the time, except a lot of it is for class. Oh! I forgot to mention that I am going for a Major in Studio Art, and a minor in religion. I am not a very religious person, but I am interested in religions, and most religions are depicted through art. Mostly all of my art is (at the current moment) in my paper portfolio both at my house and in storage near the school, and a lot of them are huge.. so getting them scanned in (cause ya don't want to take a photo of it.. just wouldn't be the quality I would be looking for) is a bit of a difficulty. The only pictures I would take would be of the sculptures I did, and it would be hard to pry them out of the hands of the art professors that wanted them to put in their office.
Wrapping this up, I have to say that I am eternally grateful to all of those who have followed and watched me throughout the years, even though I haven't really uploaded much. To my followers out there who find me in odd places and notice me I wanted to say thanks, you make me feel special
Love and hugs always! Stay cool!
(Edit: I actually remembered reading that Stompa didn't die, but they didn't show her getting back up later. Something about her not being able to really 'die' per say, because she is an extraterrestrial goddess.)
